To My Business Card Angel...

Dear Office Max Business Card Angel aka Myke,

I know you saw the look of pure horror on my face when I realized that 3 day express shipping for the cheapest business cards I could have possibly made on your excellent store program would have been an extra $30 on top of the $25 they already cost me.

And I know you noticed my extended glassy, blank stare as my head internally screamed at me, “CRAP, DAMN SHIT, HELL, CRAP, DAMN, SHIT, HELL….”

Please excuse my mother as well; she likes to try to work the angles-“Kayla, why don’t we just go over to Kinko’s and see if they can help us?” “You can’t afford an extra $30! You need to pay for your Fall semester of college.”

{Note:: No college was named}

She has a great heart though.

Whether any of her remarks captured your attention or not, I know you helped me because you’re just a good guy like that. Thank you for bending the rules and printing all 100 cards in store for me.

Taking it a step further, thank you for taking the time to attempt to cut them all for me, and when that didn’t seem to work because your cutter kept chopping off my Twitter handle {I do not have a witter handle}, thank you for resizing them and resizing them again to try to fix the problem. I honestly didn’t mind cutting them myself; it was actually somewhat fun!

On top of all of the amazing help you gave me, you even gave me nearly $10 off my order for the trouble! This poor college student can definitely afford $15!

Before I set into multiple posts on BlogHer 2010 and New York, I want to hear from all of you who were there, too!!

There was SO much going on the WHOLE time, that one couldn't possible get to it all-It was quite literally impossible {which I learned quite early on during the trip}.

What better way to experience everything the conference had to offer then to view it through other people's eyes and words?

Words are, after all, quite powerful ^.^

I'm Naked!

I can't believe I forgot to tell my readers this.

I mean, come on-It's not like it's not EXTREMELY noticeable or something like that...

Although, I was packing for a trip, getting done with English, and fighting off one hell of a reinfection.

Anywho.

As you have noticed, I'm naked.

Not that way folks-Get your minds out of the gutter!

My blog background is no longer there. One day I just got on and it was gone. And I was/am sad. I have no idea what to do now. I'm thinking I should just bite the bullet and hire a custom blog design done, but with that decision comes many other questions.

-What do I want?
-Where is the money going to come from?
-Should I start a new blog and invest in that one?
-Etc. Etc. Etc.

I have to be honest:: I'm kind of leaning towards starting another blog and using The Element as strictly business, but transferring the name; like The Eclectic Healer or The Eclectic Organic. Of course I want a name like The Eclectic Element that easily encompasses everything I do and or will want to do in the future which will take some brain storming.

For those of you interested, BlogHer 2010 is going incredibly-There is seriously no words to explain it. That being said, it should be fun trying to put it into words to blog for ya'll. Ha!

Now I'm shutting down Charlie, packing my bags and setting off...The bus I have to catch for the airport leaves at 3:30 am {yes, that IS the correct time} and my flight is around 9:00 am. This means I should be landed and off to my hotel no later then 12:00pm.

Whew-I'll breathe a sigh of relief when I'm checked into my hotel. LOL

Today was one of the first days that I could actually go shopping for my BlogHer New York trip and of course I couldn't find what I was looking for...

I.E. Cute dress

But what did I end up finding instead?

Jeans.

Jeans, as in plural, as in more then one pair.

This is a HUGE deal for me since I have no luck what-so-ever {usually} when it comes to this particular article of clothing!!

This made my whole life. LOL

Calling all BlogHer 2010 conference attendees!!

I'm not sure who might be interested, but either Thursday, Friday or Saturday I'm going to try to take a pole dancing class at Body and Pole a few blocks away from the hotel.

I believe a single class is $35.00.
