I feel so horrible that I haven't been able to introduce you all to this very kind and extremely talented featured artist sooner!! Hopefully, I can remedy the situation by making her today's featured artist :)
Please give a warm welcome to Arianna of Petite Chacal on Etsy!
Arianna hails from the lovely city of London, England in the United Kingdom and has a degree in Biology. She is currently working as a full time secretary, however, even though her job claims a lot of her time, she still dedicates her spare moments to her crafting (she even refers to herself as 'The Crazy Crafter').
Like many crafters before and after her, Arianna wishes one day that she can make her crafts her only job, but in the mean time, she tries to continuously learn about anything and everything she can in preparation for that fateful day-"I love places like Etsy with plenty of nice, friendly, like-minded people. It would be fantastic one day to be able to only do art for living. I must say, though, It's already a great time."Being a fellow jewelry designer, Arianna started out her designing by making some very simple beaded necklaces-A little later on, she added to her crafting repratwar when she discovered polymer clay and fell completely in love with it!
"I'm a self-taught crafter," she says, "so it took me a little while to learn the (many!!) techniques, but it’s been and still is a wonderful journey." It truly is amazing the many different things you can make out of polymer clay!! Anything from a variety of jewelry pieces to the jewelry's beads to even home décor items; If you think about it, the options are endless ^.^
Now that Arianna has the simple jewelry and polymer clay down pat, she is starting to get into the more semiprecious stones to make some more 'serious' jewelery. In general, she likes working with glass stones and particular metals (silver is her favorite).
Her next goal: Attending a silversmith course! This lady never slows down-Although truth be told, she kind of reminds me of myself :)
Things to know about Arianna and her products:*Returning customers get a nice little surprise something ;)
*Besides Etsy, you can find her blogging on her brand new blog, So Much Life.
*She also has a Personal Website-Man, busy, busy lady we got here!!

Advice from Arianna: "As I said, I’m kind of new to all of this, and I don’t have big tips for other crafters, except what every “real” crafter already knows: do what you love, because is that love that people will see when looking at your work. When you finish a piece ask yourself” would I buy it?” and the answer must be “yes, I totally would”. That’s an happy and (I believe) successful crafter. But this is more generally about life, isn’t it?"
Please take the time to visit Arianna at her shop, Petite Chacal-She has been nothing but kind to me and I would love to be able to repay the favor :)
Love and Energies.
Kayla
