Let Inspiration In-Gemstones and Wire

Welcome to the site, a lovely lady who goes by Colleen of Gemstones and Wire!

Living in the beautiful mountains of Western, North Carolina in a little town called Pisgah Forest on the outskirts of Brevard, Hendersonville, and Asheville,p Colleen is a stay at home grandmother who has been making things as far back as she can remember. "If somebody needed a gift they came to me and when I was in school the teacher always asked me to help decorate the bulletin board with my drawings. Even now people still come to me for unique one of a kind gifts."

Colleen stumbled across and ad for Etsy when she was reading through a copy of BeadStyle magazine about a year ago-Curious, she decided to look up the site and promised herself if she ever got up enough confidence in herself and her work, she would open up a shop. That was one year ago and since then, she found that confidence and opened up a shop with her beautiful jewelry!

Besides jewelry, you can find Colleen doing a lot of different arts and crafts. As she quoted, "I dabble in everything I can." She also makes pieces of art in polymer clay and dabbles in painting using acrylic paint and watercolors.

"I find it very exciting to try something new and see the end results."

Like many jewelry designers out there, Colleen likes to work with nothing but the best! Working in mainly 14 kt gold filled wire and findings, she try to make as many of her own findings as possible, such as clasps, jump rings, connectors, loops, and more, which I find very inspiring! "I get goosebumps when I look at a piece that I have just finished and polished up to a majestic sheen," says Colleen, "and to think it all started from a idea in my imagination." Besides her findings, she also uses gemstones, Swarovski crystals, czech fired glass, polymer clay and fused glass.

Things to know about Colleen and her products:

*All of her pieces are made from 14 KT Gold Filled wire and findings and she makes her own hoops, earwires, and jump rings.

*If you go over and check out Gemstones and Wire, you will also find some newly added Polymer Clay Figurines-Check them out and if your feeling particularly generous go ahead and give Colleen your opinions because she is debating on opening up another store!

*If you have something in mind, Colleen makes it very clear she loves to do custom orders so don't be shy!

*For payment, shipping, and other information, make sure to check out her Shop Policies Page.

Advice from Colleen: "I am the advice taker not the giver. The way I look at it is there are so many wonderful Etsians that really know their stuff that I sit back, listen, take notes and try to implement as much of the correct advice form as I can."

Definitely give this wonderful jewelry artist a visit! Colleen of Gemstones and Wire may be just starting out, but I have a feeling she is going to go far :)

Love and Energies.
Kayla
