Sacrifices for Art-Giggle Goddess Creations

Say hello to Rhiannon of Giggle Goddess Creations on Etsy! Now, if your not familiar with her store name, you may know her by her Etsy username, Rhiannon228. Besides her jewelry store, you can also find Rhiannon painting and stocking up her artwork store, Daily Paint(her username for that shop is Selene2002).

Well, we have another busy lady today!

Rhiannon lives in a tiny, little town in the smallest state in the U.S.-Warwick, Rhode Island. She has always been a C.A.H. (Crafter At Heart), but didn't really start crafting her unique lovelies until her daughter was born-"That was 2002 and I was (and still am) a stay at home mom, so when she would sleep, I would create."

What's quite interesting is besides being a stay at home mum of three young children and her artwork, Rhiannon told me she went to school to be a dog trainer! What's more, she made a living at that job for a good two years. "I loved it," she told me, "but about three weeks ago I quit because I started selling art and pendants more and more. I just couldn't do both and raise three young children, so I had to make a choice."

That must have been a very difficult decision for her, but she ultimately chose her creative career(not that dog training isn't creative). As of right now, Rhiannon sells her wares both on and off Etsy.

Speaking of her wares, not only does she make a career out of her glass resin jewelry pendants and amazing oil and acrylic artwork, but she also likes to pick up the needles and knit herself some hats and scarfs occasionally. Although with her 'main' arts and crafts, Rhiannon's preferred material is pretty straight forward: glass, resin, paint and canvas :)

She gets inspired by other artists and crafters, whether they are on Etsy at the time or not-Sometimes she doesn't have inspiration at all, but paints anyway and sees where it takes her. "I experiment and add things that I feel would look attractive...I think these are some of my best paintings."

If you are crafting for yourself than it is different - but if you are crafting to sell - use quality materials and take your time to make a beautiful and desirable product. Don't give up, if you really want to do something, you will find a way."
