From MomDot:
"We would like to invite everyone to join in on a new weekly meme on MomDot called “Small Talk Six!” Since weekends are generally a little slower around the blogosphere, we thought this would be a great way to have a quick, fun, interactive meme.
All you need to do is grab one of the graphics below for your “Small Talk Six” posts and your sidebar. Then make a short (or an elaborate) post on your blog in response to the assigned topic of the week (see list here).
You can respond to each topic with a list of 6 words, 6 phrases, 6 sentences, 6 paragraphs, or 6 photos. Get the idea?"
***********************************************************************This week's Small Talk Six topic is:
6 unconventional things you think people should celebrate by throwing a party

1. Cleaning-I don't know about you, but sometimes cleaning can be excruciating work! Especially if you hit something that you truly HATE(mine is windows *Eeeek*). After your done cleaning the house, what better then to throw a party!? I mean, your house IS already clean ;-)

2. Homework-Of course every kid dreads the word 'homework' and they hate even more the prospect of actually doing it! So why not reward yourself for a job well done with a bunch of your friends over afterword...

3. Running Errands-Wouldn't YOU want a party waiting for you at home once you finished with that pesky list of errands!? I certainly would =)

4. Full Moon-We have all heard legends of craziness on a full moon and I KNOW for a fact that it get's my symptoms to flair up every month, but that doesn't stop me from loving her! I think a celebration is a great honor for both us and her :D

5. The Start of Fall-What can I say, It's my favorite season! It would be a double plus since the beginning of Fall is also my mum's birthday.
6. Because you want to!

So there you have it people! I'm a big believer in rewarding yourself for the little accomplishments-It instills the idea that you completed something important, even if it's something as simple as getting up and finishing a school paper or packing your child's lunch. It doesn't have to be huge(like throwing a party), but something like a bottle of nailpolish or a new movie to add to your collection will do just fine =)
