SewBeans {Feature+Giveaway}

Today, we are going to give a big welcome to our featured artist, Jill of the Etsy shop known as SewBeans!

You can find Jill living in a little two-bedroom bungalow with her husband and two cat-like-children, Polly and Zorro just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in a town called Hatfield.

As she explained to me, Jill has always loved to make things, but didn't find her passion in sewing until she took a class in high school-Unfortunately, it took her graduating from college to finish that class and by that time, she was into new and exciting things-It took her a little while to get back into her sewing, but when she did, it was Full. Force!

Unfortunately, due to the economy, Jill, who has an undergraduate degree in architecture and who has spent the last few years designing homes and schools, was recently laid off from her job. Being an Architect in this recession isn't the greatest, but on the brighter side, she has a lot more time to sew!

Which brings us to Etsy-"I blame Etsy on my sister-in-law," says Jill. "When she heard I got laid off, she really pushed me harder to sell some of the things I was making."

Besides her sewing, she likes to quilt, and have tried to design a couple of her own pieces, but it's such a long process that she often finds herself discouraged or get distracted-Eh, happens to the best of us ;-) If you also take a look at her products, you will know that she also dabbles in embroidery-Just take a look at her adorable baby onsies!
