Resolutions, Tropicana Trop50 and *Giveaway*

I know it's nearly the end of January (already!?), but I want to bring up those dreaded New Year's Resolutions! Since it's nearly been a month since the rollover from the big 11' to the even bigger 12,' I want to know how you're doing with your resolutions!

Are you sticking to them like glue? Have you been wavering a little bit here and there? Or have you given up on your resolutions entirely and are waiting for the next New Year to start again?

Honestly, I'm not big on setting resolutions for myself when the New Year hits. Sure, the new-year-new-you attitude sets in, but what makes a person thing you can only better yourself when it's the New Year? You can better yourself ALL 365 (in 2012's case, 366) days of the year!

A few of my personal goals for this year:

*Exercise more, even if that day I'm only able to do some stretching.
*Continue to eat healthy. I already eat very healthy, but there's always room for improvement, right?
*Learn to relax!

Thanks to Tropicana and it's newest addition to the Tropicana family, the Trop50, those people who have anything to do with being healthy on their resolution or yearly goal list will be quite happy!

"Trop50 got its name as a result of the marriage of Tropicana and “50 percent” less sugar and calories. Tropicana Trop50 is a breakthrough innovation from Tropicana that offers 50 percent less sugar and calories, and no artificial sweeteners. Trop50 is the first juice beverage to be naturally sweetened with an all-natural stevia-based sweetener. Trop50 is designed to help manage weight goals by offering reduced sugar and calories, without sacrificing great taste"

You can visit and like Trop50 on Facebook and check out their latest contest:

"Trop50 True Resolutions celebrates the real reasons behind New Year’s resolutions. Share your secret motivation and you’ll earn a coupon for $1 off Trop50 for yourself and 50¢ off coupons for up to 50 of your friends. You can even submit incognito with a fierce disguise. Bonus: Whether you submit a resolution or not, you can also enter a sweepstakes to win a $1000 gift card."

Speaking of contests, the lovely folks at Tropicana have provided a great jump start on the whole, 'learn to relax' resolution/goal for those of us that have it on our lists...

I'm Gettin' me an Edumacation!

The last time anybody heard, I was involved in not one, but TWO online classes at my local community college that started last Fall and SHOULD have got done a little before Christmas, but for particular reasons, I'm still waiting to finish at least one of those classes up.

I'm actually pretty proud of myself that even through a crisis, I was able to keep a steady head and do what I can to finish those classes; even if I had to take an incomplete because I couldn't take both class's finals on time.

Now that I'm doing considerably better (thank goodness!), I was able to contact my Psychology teacher and get that test done a few days ago, to which I received a 89.3%! If you know me, you know I'm a perfectionist through and through, so A's are always, ALWAYS what I aim for and I think B's are the devil's work!

Okay, so that was a little dramatic...

We'll just say B's have always disappointed me even though it's a considerably good grade. Don't worry though, I am working on that outlook.

B's are wonderful! B's are wonderful! B's are wonderful!

Anywho, I find it great that my final grade in the General Psychology class is a 89.95%. 0.5% away from an A.

Someone is testing me here....

B's are wonderful! B's are wonderful! B's are WONDERFUL!

General Psychology is over and done with, so that's what is most important. Now, Introduction to Business on the other hand, is giving me some issues. I should actually say the TEACHER is giving me some issues! This teacher agreed back in December to give me an incomplete and allow me to take the test when I was able to. I've contacted said teacher at least 5 times within the past couple weeks and I haven't heard anything except, "I have to review your situation before we proceed."

I just want to be able to take the darn thing and get it over and done with!

These are actually the first two classes I've been able to get through fully without dropping out because of health related issues since Spring of 2010. I'm very proud that I was able to stick to them both and gain a total of 6 more credits (3 per class)!

I now have a grand total of almost 15 credits under my belt :)

Slowly but surely people, slowly but surely.

Inspirational Tuesday(1/31)

"The golden opportunity you're seeking is in yourself. It's not in your environment; it's not in luck or chance, or the help of others; it's in yourself alone."

--Orison Swett Marden

I tend to agree with this quote maaaaaaybe 75%; I do believe that there are other outside factors that help us to achieve what we want in life, too.

What inspires you today?

21 on the 21st

Today is a very special day.  Today, my boyfriend of nearly a year and a half turns 21 years old.

Go ahead and call me a cougar if you must-After all, I AM older ;)

February 3rd marks our year and a half anniversary and quite honestly, the past year and a half has been probably the most incredible in my life thus far just for the sheer fact of Jake. He's touched my life with more happiness, wonder, and amazement since the day he first text messaged me, "Hey, this is Jake, Christine's friend."

(Christine is my best friend who introduced us)

I never knew quite that I wanted a relationship and what I was missing until life gave me him.

Of course it hasn't always been rose petals and sunshine. We've had our share of normal couple's fights and situations that really aren't found in that of a run-of-the-mill relationship, but the best, and probably my personal favorite, part of this particular relationship is we get through them all together.

Not only is today his birthday, but it's his golden birthday-Unfortunately, I cannot be with him today, but that doesn't stop me from loving him with everything I have and wishing him as much happiness today as he brings to me everyday :)

I love you baby.

Happy, happy birthday :)

Saturday's Picks(1/21)-Baby, It's Cold Outside

Now that we're in the throws of Winter (and I have about 6 to 8 inches of that cold, white stuff to prove it), temperatures have gone from an unseasonably, but not unappreciated, 40 and 50 degrees to negative digits.

Which means, warmth is a must!

So enjoy these Saturday's knitted and oh-so-cozy picks :)
